Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County provides more than meals. Our Case Management Department is the client’s link to assessing and receiving other services and pertinent needs.
Home-Delivered Meals
Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County provides nutritionally balanced, home-delivered breakfast and noon meals to homebound elderly and disabled citizens of Tarrant County.
Client Eligibility
To be eligible for our programs and services, a person must be homebound, be unable to prepare a nutritious meal, and not have anyone able to prepare a nutritious meal on a regular basis. Eligibility is based on need; there is no age or income criteria. Clients are encouraged to contribute toward the cost of their meal, but no one is ever turned away because they are unable to pay.

Case Management
Each client and prospective client is assigned a professional case manager who assesses the client's needs, coordinates services, and advocates for the client with other agencies.
Friend to Friend
This program aims to help relieve the loneliness and enhance the lives of our most isolated clients by training volunteers to become “friends” in a weekly visitor program.
Companion Pet Program
This program supplies pet food, free of charge, to Meals On Wheels clients who have dogs or cats.
Supplemental Food Program
Volunteers go to food pantries on behalf of clients who cannot go themselves.
Neighbor Helping Neighbor
The United Way’s Area Agency on Aging and Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County are spearheading the Neighbor Helping Neighbor program in Tarrant County to assist socially isolated seniors and help them enjoy better, safer lives while remaining in their own home.
