To Whom It May Concern:
The satisfying meals delivered by volunteer drivers were thoroughly appreciated during my recent disability with arm/shoulder surgery!
I can't begin to tell you enough how much the dependable, carefully nutritiously prepared meals meant toward my recovery!
Thank you and God bless all of you!
We are new receipients of your services and we appreciate the delivery of the food so very much. We are both severely handicapped and I cannot stand long enough to cook for us.
The meals are delicious and nutritious. We also are grateful for the breakfasts we've been getting on Monday thru Thursday.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness and kindness.
When the young man drove up it was a Sunday and I thought he was lost but he brought food for Yummer. We were down to half a cup of dry food. Course I would never let him go hungry. As to the cooked food I really hate to think I'm taking it from someone who doesn't cook. Mom saw to it I knew how to cook by age 11 when Mom was called back to work because so many men had to go to war. She told me I would need to leave my work 30 min. early so I could have dinner on the table by 5 p.m. During the day, I planted tomatoes for 7 hours. When I taught school in California none of the women wanted to teach cooking in summer school so I taught 6th 7th and 8th graders how to cook for 3 summers. 10 boys and 10 girls. You have been a God send to me and Yummer. I want to thank you for your help in so many ways. I wish I could send you even 1/2 of what you have been worth to me. Not only have you fed me but you thought of my best friend Yummer.
Jessica and staff of Meals On Wheels,
Thanks so much for my Christmas gifts, photo of me and Santa, and all the meals. Thanks to all my volunteers! May God bless you. Happy New Year.
Dear Meals On Wheels,
Thank you doesn't seem to be enough for all you have done for me, but I had to say it anyway. Thank you!
I have been alone for so long that I forget what special friends I have, and you are very special to me.
Thank you for all the things you do, but most of all, thank you for your friendship.
Dear Lynell,
Sorry for taking so long to get this to you.
I was out of stamps and it got put aside with all the things going on around here and my nurse finally brought me some stamps today.
I have both air conditions in place and working great. Some of the house is painted — still a work in progress.
Having fun trying to find things. Only 25 people moving stuff around. Ha ha!!!
Thanks Lynell for all the help!!
Dear Ms. Simon,
I just feel moved to jot you off a few lines today — something I've postponed so many times.
Today with the delivery of my lovely hot lunch and breakfast meals, I found the most informative enclosures about multivitamins. After reading it over, I was so impressed by the information — the depth yet it was so understandably stated. Also, I was moved by the interest and care of the entire organization that is Meals On Wheels of Tarrant Co. I don't feel the indepth services provided to us in Tarrant Co. are necessarily received by all recipients of home delivered meals. I say this because I often share with my sister in MN about all that we are receiving each week and she responds with, "I don't remember Mom receiving anything like that." Mom had a suite apartment with my sister, who was Mom's caregiver.
So, in closing, I wish to extend my great appreciation to you, your intern, and all the other caring and informed friends who make Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County (don't forget our precious delivery volunteers) one of the most valuable assets to the disabled homebound of Tarrant County.
Thank you! Thank you!
Dear Lynell Bond and all,
I wish to THANK ALL that had a part in getting me a new water heater. They had a 50 gallon to replace my 53 gallon but it would not fit in the closet. The man from Hawk worked very hard to get the old one out then found the 50 would not fit. He worked hard to get the 40 and get it all in place and working. I was very tired from all the other things going on here and finally was able to take a GREAT HOT shower at 3 a.m. I used every drop of hot water and boy it felt great. 7/10/2009 a date I will remember for a long long time.
I know this was a very expensive thing to do and greatly want you to know how much this means to me.
The lady that you told me made this possible, I want to thank her for making this happen and I would love to tell her first hand.
With the way the world is now it sure is great to know there is still people that want, can and did care to help others when their luck is down.
THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!!
